Things to know
Bitvavo-specific notes
EUR-native valuations
Bitvavo trades against EUR, so most of your history is already in euros — reducing conversion steps for Dutch and Belgian filers. Taxxy still records the exact EUR value at each transaction time.
Box 3 uses your 1 January balance
Dutch Box 3 tax is based on the value of your holdings on 1 January, not on realised gains. Taxxy calculates your Bitvavo balance on that reference date automatically.
FAQ
Common questions
Is Bitvavo good for Dutch Box 3 reporting?
Yes. Bitvavo is the Netherlands' largest exchange and EUR-native. Taxxy computes your holdings value on 1 January — the reference date for Box 3 — directly from your Bitvavo history.
What API permissions does Bitvavo need?
Read-only ("View") rights only. Never enable trading or withdrawal permissions for a tax import key.
Does Taxxy import Bitvavo staking rewards?
Yes. Staking rewards are imported at their EUR value when received and included in your report.
