Things to know
Uphold-specific notes
Direct any-to-any conversions
Uphold lets you convert directly between any two assets (e.g., BTC → gold → EUR) without an intermediate order book. Each conversion is a disposal of the source asset. Taxxy imports every leg and calculates the gain/loss correctly.
Multi-asset (crypto, metals, equities)
Uphold supports non-crypto assets too. Taxxy focuses on the crypto legs of your history for your crypto tax report.
FAQ
Common questions
How are Uphold conversions taxed?
Each Uphold conversion between two assets is a taxable disposal of the asset you convert from. Taxxy imports every conversion and calculates the capital gain or loss in your currency.
Which API scope does Uphold need?
Read-only (transaction read). Never grant write or withdrawal scopes for a tax import token.
Can I import Uphold via CSV?
Yes. Export your activity/transaction history from Uphold and upload it to Taxxy. The parser handles the format; the AI fallback maps anything unusual.
