Things to know
Gemini-specific notes
Auditor scope is read-only by design
Gemini's "Auditor" API scope exists specifically for read-only access such as accounting and tax tools. It cannot trade or withdraw, which makes it the safest choice for Taxxy.
Gemini and ActiveTrader share one account
Gemini's simple interface and the ActiveTrader interface use the same account and credentials. Taxxy imports trades from both.
FAQ
Common questions
What is the Gemini Auditor API scope?
It is a read-only permission level built for accounting and tax software. It can view your history but cannot trade or withdraw — exactly what Taxxy needs.
Does Taxxy import Gemini staking rewards?
Yes. Where present, Gemini staking rewards are imported as income at their fair market value when received.
Can I import Gemini via CSV?
Yes. Download your transaction history from Account → Statements & History and upload it to Taxxy. The API (Auditor scope) is more automated, but CSV works well.
