Import Guide
Step-by-step import guide
CoinSpot is AUD-native. It provides CSV exports (buys, sells, sends/receives) and a read-only API — either works for a complete import.
Log in to CoinSpot
Go to coinspot.com.au and sign in.
Open API settings
Go to Account → API and generate a new API key.
Use the read-only key
CoinSpot offers a read-only API key — use it. Do NOT enable any trading permissions.
Copy key and secret
Copy the API Key and Secret into Taxxy's CoinSpot connection form.
Things to know
CoinSpot-specific notes
Separate CSV exports per action
CoinSpot splits history into buys/sells and sends/receives exports. Upload all of them so deposits, withdrawals, and trades are all captured.
AUD-native for ATO filers
CoinSpot quotes in AUD, so valuations are already in Australian dollars. Taxxy applies the 50% CGT discount to assets held over 12 months automatically.
FAQ
Common questions
How do I export my CoinSpot history?
In My Account → Order History, export your buys/sells CSV, and export your sends/receives separately. Upload both to Taxxy for a complete import.
Is CoinSpot AUD-native?
Yes. CoinSpot quotes and settles in AUD, which is convenient for ATO reporting. Taxxy still records exact AUD values at transaction time.
Does Taxxy apply the ATO 50% CGT discount?
Yes. Taxxy tracks holding periods on your CoinSpot assets and applies the 50% discount to long-term (>12 month) gains.
