Things to know
Bitfinex-specific notes
Funding (lending) income
Bitfinex lets you lend crypto for interest ("funding"). That interest is income and is easy to overlook. Taxxy imports funding income and classifies it correctly.
Ledger export is the most complete
As with several exchanges, the Ledgers report contains everything — trades, funding, deposits, withdrawals, and fees. Prefer it over the Trades-only export.
FAQ
Common questions
Does Taxxy import Bitfinex lending (funding) income?
Yes. Bitfinex funding/lending interest is imported as income at its value when received — an item many other tools miss.
Which Bitfinex export should I use?
Use the Ledgers report for the most complete data, and add the Funding report if you lend. The API captures all of this automatically.
What API permissions does Bitfinex need?
Read-only across account history, wallets, orders, positions, and funding. Never enable withdrawals or any write permission for a tax import key.
